Signature Cocktail and Fun Dessert for July 4th

What's on your Ultimate Fourth of July Menu?

Every good party planner knows that a great party needs fun people, a great theme, signature cocktails, and a fabulous dessert!

Here's some special items you can make for your Fourth of July party!

The starter to every great party is in its signature cocktail!

This year wouldn't it be wonderful to start with a Captain Morgan White Mojito for guests to enjoy!

1.5 oz. Captain Morgan White® Rum

.5 oz. fresh lime juice

.5 oz. simple syrup

fresh mint, muddled

fresh limes, cut into small pieces

1 oz. club soda

1 mint sprig

Directions: Put all ingredients except club soda and mint sprig into a mixing glass. Add ice and shake vigorously. Add club soda, shake once, and pour into a tall glass. Garnish with a mint sprig

Of course I'll be wearing red, white, and blue because every 4th  of July party needs a nod to the patriotic colors of our nation's flag!

But shouldn't some red, white, and blue go into the dessert? Everybody LOVES ice cream and why not make your own ice cream sandwiches!

Put a twist on a traditional ice cream sandwich with Häagen-Dazs’s new gelato flavor, Pomegranate Swirl, for the perfect blend of sweet and tart all in one!

Here's what you need:
