Thank you for understanding my little hiatus. Since a veil of sadness has struck our little state of Connecticut, it seems most of my celebratory and travel spirit was plucked right out of me.
I spent the time over the holidays, as many of you did, hunkered down with my wonderful family and my dear, dear friends.
Because those are the things that really matter.
I was also able to have a pre-Christmas breakfast with my friend Gayle visiting with her mom Grace, who resides in a local Apple Rehab Center. This "home away from home" welcomes family into patient care on a regular basis. As you can see below, the place is beautifully decorated for the season, and on the day we stopped, a little pup was making a visit, along with the jolly big guy and his lovely wife. That's right! Santa and Mrs. Claus.
And finally, on New Year's Day I ventured out to Gayle's house to welcome in 2013!
Let 2013 bring joy and happiness to all of us.
Relaxing with family and friends is what the holiday season is all about. Happy New Year! May 2013 be your best year yet!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is Sue! That and the Christmas cookies I've been enjoying!! LOL. May your 2013 be wonderful as well!
