Coming to South Norwalk CT
RHK SEAFOOD BOIL & BAR
“With nicer weather upon us and people able to more safely dine together, I’m looking forward to introducing lower Fairfield County to Cajun-inspired seafood boils, where the goal is to gather, eat and have a good time,” said owner Byeon. “At this point in time where we are all craving to spend more time with friends and loved ones, my goal for our restaurant is to become a fun, delicious and inviting gathering place for families with children visiting the Aquarium, co-workers over lunch and friends looking to grab a late night drink. Our location in the heart of SoNo invites us to be something for everyone with the diverse population here, and my team – including executive chef Ben Wang and general and beverage manager Spencer Wawak - has worked hard to craft both a food and beverage menu that fulfills this variety of customers!”
The star of the all-day food menu – the Cajun-inspired seafood boil - allows diners to select their locally-sourced seafood and sides and customize the seasonings and heat level, before the cooked-to-order boil arrives at the table wrapped in a plastic bag with plastic bibs and gloves for a fun, interactive and messy meal. What could be better than that?? Other house specialties on the lunch and dinner menu include the Redhook Cajun Ramen Noodle made from the broth of the boils, the house burger, sandwiches, salads, vegetarian options (including a vegetarian boil) and children’s menu. In addition to the all-day menu, an abbreviated lunch menu is also available.
With a focus on Japanese Whiskey, the beverage program includes beer, wine, nautically-inspired cocktails and custom milkshakes, as well as drinks integrating coffee from its sister RoundK brand in New York.
“While we are excited to initially open for lunch and dinner service, we are already planning a dedicated brunch menu, as well as grab-and-go options for people working in the area (or remotely from home), or families looking for an option to enjoy while sitting by the water,” added Byeon. “While seafood boils are fun when enjoyed in the restaurant, they’re even more fun in your own backyard, so we will also be soon launching a takeout program, as well as catering options to invite groups to enjoy together!”
I don't know about you, but I can't wait for BRUNCH! This is the perfect location and spot for an easy breezy meet up with friends! And with a menu this good - I can only imagine how fabulous their brunch offerings will be!
Inside, the restaurant features a nautically-inspired motif playing off of the seaside concept featuring large windows, fish nets, ship wheels, shellfish, oars and portholes. There's plenty of room at the bar, which offers 15 seats, with an additional 50 seats at high-top and communal tables in the open space, in addition to a back dining room with 50 seats. This back room has fully closing doors to offer a private dining space as well.
RHK Seafood Boil and Bar will be open Monday – Wednesday from 12pm – 10pm, Thursday from 12pm – 12am, Friday – Saturday from 11am – 12am and Sunday from 11pm – 10pm, expanding to offer weekend brunch, grab-and-go and takeout options in the coming weeks, as well as on- and off-site private event options.
Reservations are accepted via OpenTable or Resy, or by calling the restaurant at (203) 956-7171.
The restaurant name merges the new South Norwalk product ‘R’ with their existing Round K CafĂ© ‘K’ brand, with the ‘H’ in the middle as the bridge between the two. Whether seafood in South Norwalk or coffee in New York City, their mission to inspire people to gather, eat/drink and have a good time together remains the same.
