Love Haven CT 2014 Event - Trolley Square - New Haven CT

On Saturday, February 8th, 2014, the initial Love Haven Event was held at Trolley Square in New Haven CT. #LoveHavenCT

Haven Events were conceived by a creative collective of local designers, craft makers and shop owners who all share a love of supporting small Connecticut-based businesses. The Haven Events are held at the former Robby Len swimsuit factory which is now called Trolley Square.  Trolley Square is an up-and-coming retail and art space located at 1175 State Street in New Haven, Connecticut. Past events included a Holiday Haven, featuring winter holiday creations and gift ideas.

The Love Haven Event featured CT crafters, a vintage marketplace, art show, and many  locally designed and produced items. It's so important to support our local CT businesses! Also on hand were a few food trucks, and a photo booth.

Inside Trolley Square is huge! And although for this inaugural Love Haven CT Event only one small wing was utilized, I can envision that future events will have vendors lining up and down the halls of this expansive facility.

Here's some of the vendors who were there on Saturday.

It was a fun afternoon, and the activities continued until 10:00pm when live performance acts concluded this exciting inaugural event.

The Trolley Square management leasing company has a gem in this building and a huge potential to grow this area into a thriving business, art, and retail commerce district. The building itself offers great parking, and easy access on and off I-91.  One drawback to the day's events was that the parking lot was not plowed well, at all. I found myself and others who were arriving had a very difficult time walking across the ice laden and snow packed asphalt.

New Haven has so much to offer, and I'm looking forward to attending more Haven events and other attractions as the marketplace grows.
