It's a Halloween Pumpkin Spectacular at Saybrook Point
Saybrook Point Inn & Spa is honoring Halloween 2015 with a spectacular pumpkin festival along the shores of the Connecticut River in Old Saybrook on Saturday, October 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hundreds of locally-grown, hand-carved and illuminated jack-o-lanterns will light up the terrace and marina docks of Saybrook Point during this second annual Halloween extravaganza.
Guests will enjoy a Trick or Treat Trail, hayrides, carving demonstrations, farmer’s market, DJ music, and seasonal food delights expertly prepared by Fresh Salt’s award-winning culinary team.
Admission is free to the daytime event and open to all ages.
For guests, 21 years-of-age and older, Saybrook Point is also hosting a fun “Pumpkins On The Point After Party” in the Waterfront Ballroom beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. This creative “Halloween Masquerade” will feature live music, hors d’oeuvres, and a variety of food stations.
Tickets for the evening event for adults 21 and over are $40 per person and may be purchased by calling Saybrook Point Inn & Spa at 800.243.0212 or stopping by the Inn.
Saybrook Point Inn & Spa is also offering a special overnight Halloween package for guests who want to extend their ghoulish fun. Starting at $402, guests will enjoy overnight accommodations at the Saybrook Point Inn, along with $20 in food tickets per person, plus two tickets to Saybrook Point’s Halloween Masquerade (for guests 21 and older) that includes a special pumpkin-themed brunch for two at Fresh Salt the following morning. For guests who are tired from all the partying, the property is also offering a seasonal spa service with a pumpkin flare at its full-service spa, SANNO. This includes an Organic Harvest Facial ($25), Yam & Pumpkin Mini Peel ($30), Pumpkin Body Wrap and Scrub ($109), and Express Pumpkin Pack ($100) with mini manicure, pedicure and facial.
“Pumpkins On The Point” is a festive Halloween celebration that honors New England’s favorite orange squash and traditional autumn staple. More than 350 pumpkins will be delivered to local public schools in Old Saybrook on Monday, October 26th where students will have five days to carve and paint their creation for display and merriment at the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa from October 31st to November 1st.
Pumpkin-infused menu delights at Fresh Salt during Pumpkins On The Point include a selection of sliders, hot dogs, chili and chowder. Sweet treats will include freshly made hot cider donuts and fried s’mores, and baked caramel apple wedges with creative pumpkin-themed seasonal beverages such as Hot Cider, Autumn Sangria, Cherry Cinnamon Punch and select seasonal brews from the Thimble Island Brewery available at the Marina Bar.
Halloween movies will also be shown on big screen televisions throughout Fresh Salt and its outdoor terrace, and a moon bounce will be available as well as a photo booth.
